But that definition only hints at what the genre actually represents. It oversimplifies something far more layered. Latincore originated in Colombia, influenced by traditional rhythms passed down through generations, including cumbia, vallenato, and guaracha. These forms carry Afro-diasporic percussion and rhythmic logic, grounding the sound in deep lineage and cultural memory. 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗖𝗞: 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐀Ñ𝐀𝐒' 𝗔𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗢 𝗘𝗣. 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗣𝗘𝗢𝗣𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗚𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗔 𝗕𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢. 𝗙𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗜𝗧 𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗨𝗗 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣 In recent years, electronic music spaces have become increasingly dominated by techno and house in their most commercial and rigid forms. What were once liberatory genres have often been absorbed into exclusive, masculine, and cis-centered environments. Latincore pushes back against this drift. It opens space for queerness, cultural specificity, emotional release, experimentation, all with a gentle whisper of spirituality. The music speaks through fast BPMs, aggressive syncopation, distortion, and polyrhythmic percussion fused with hardcore, gabber, juke, and bass. The result for the evening is a cross-continental sound that continues to evolve without compromise.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢠⠋⡔⣡⠔⠊⣁⡠⠔⣊⡤⠚⠁⠀⠀⠉⠳⡄ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⠦⣌⣉⣩⠭⢴⠖⠻⡁⠀⠄⠀⡀⠀⠀⠀⠘⡆ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⢀⢀⠀⢀⠞⠀⠀⠙⢦⡀⠐⢌⡢⢄⣀⠀⣹⠀<3 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⠼⠗⠀⣠⠊⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡬⡓⠦⢌⡁⠒⠐⠯⣄⠀ ⠀⢀⣀⣀⢰⠁⢀⡠⠞⢱⣹⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⢿⡗⠀⠀⠈⣩⠃⠁⠈⣇ ⢸⡁⠀⠀⠉⠓⢤⡹⣄⠀⠛⠁⠀⢴⠒⡆⠀⠀⢀⣠⠖⣁⠤⠚⠉⠁⠈⢹⠄ ⢀⡝⠛⠒⠀⠀⢠⠬⠷⣍⠒⠲⡤⡤⠽⣶⠖⣮⠉⣠⠮⢥⠀⠀⠒⠒⠺⣅⠀ ⠀⠉⠒⢲⠖⢂⣈⠖⠂⡸⠀⣸⠀⡏⢪⠋⠰⣸⠸⡀⠂⢎⡑⠒⢶⡒⠚⠁⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⣅⠈⠀⠉⢀⡜⠹⡀⣇⠎⡠⠋⠘⡆⠈⠑⠒⢁⡽⠉⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠙⡶⠋⠀⠀⠣⠯⠒⠁⠀⠀⢣⢀⡼⠉⠉⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⢢⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⡇⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣀⣀⣠⠤⣀⣠⠴⢤⠤⠞⠁⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⢄⣈⡆⠠⣃⣠⠊ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ //𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐀Ñ𝐀𝐒 Entrañas is an experimental electronic music producer and DJ from Quito, Ecuador.
