Description
Queer Techno • House • Afterhours Kick off the biggest weekend in Detroit techno at the Detroit Eagle. Before & Afters returns on Friday night to set the pace before the weekend's momentum truly takes over. Consider this your orientation before clocking in on Saturday. We’re supplying the heavy house, queer techno, and afterhours heat from 11 PM until sunrise. Featuring: autogyro: Detroit-raised and NYC-based, autogyro is known for long-form dancefloor journeys where hypnosis meets emotional release. His sets unfold gradually, building tension through layered rhythms before opening into moments of warmth, memory, and collective lift: somewhere between deep club control and queer ceremonial space. IPOK: New York City-based DJ and Eagle NYC resident IPOK brings a powerful, bass-driven club sensibility to the dancefloor. Blending house, techno, and high-energy club sounds, his sets move fluidly between dark grooves and euphoric moments, keeping dancers locked into the rhythm from the first beat to the last. The Dress Code: It’s the Eagle. Shift into festival mode and wear your best gear. Leather, latex, harnesses, pup hoods, club kid armor, and whatever helps you enter the room fully are strongly encouraged. House Rules: This is a queer-centered space built on enthusiastic consent and mutual respect. Zero tolerance for homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, harassment, or making anyone feel unsafe on the dancefloor. Look out for each other and keep the energy right. NOTE ON SUPPORTER TICKETS: Supporter tickets are available for those who want to contribute a little extra toward sustaining the space. They help us keep Before & Afters accessible while covering production costs and fairly paying the queer artists who make the night possible.
