Description
Body Rock lands at Dead Letter No. 9 for a slow-burning Sunday night rooted in deep house, soulful cuts, and intentional dance-floor energy. Founded by Stonie Blue, Body Rock was born from a DIY ethos and a deep respect for house music as something meant to be felt and shared. Expect music that breathes, grooves that settle in and soulful selections that keep the dance floor on lock. Taking over the Front Foyer, the night unfolds as a true Sunday session: intimate, welcoming, and dialed-in. The kitchen stays open late, serving bao buns to keep the energy steady while the music stretches deep into the evening. Stonie Blue A producer, DJ, and community builder, Stonie Blue is the driving force behind Body Rock and a steady presence in modern deep and soulful house. His catalog reflects a commitment to groove-forward, emotionally resonant club music, released primarily through his own Believe In Yourself Do It Yourself Records. Whether behind the decks or in the studio, his sound is grounded, intentional, and built for dancers. Honey Bun One of New York’s most celebrated talents, Honey Bun blends her NYC roots, Texas upbringing, and diasporic heritage into a sound that’s soulful, future-facing, and deeply expressive. A resident of Nowadays and The Lot Radio, and co-founder of Soul Connection, her sets move effortlessly between glowing house, disco, funk, R&B, and deeper, headier club moments always guided by feeling, curiosity, and connection. Tlim Shug Louisville-raised and Brooklyn-based, Tlim Shug emerged during the mid-2010s as a defining voice of hazy, phonk-infused lo-fi house on SoundCloud. Since then, his sound has expanded across genres while staying rooted in house and hip-hop traditions. His selections are textured, understated, and groove-first perfect for a room that values subtlety and flow. This Sunday falls on Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend a moment rooted in reflection, community, and collective care. Grab your RSVP and let's dance. 21+
