FETISH ATTIRE MANDATORY
LOLSNAKE returns to BOUND. The Weeeirdos co-founder stitches together full-bore, steely techno with ethereal highs and gooey pockets of euphoria. As her alias suggests, LOLSNAKE throws a playful spanner in the works, but it only serves to heighten the impact of her surging, uncompromising sets. Elle Dee takes the reins. The driving force behind the Mild Fantasy label and event series, Dee’s range covers everything from bubbling acid to searing, monolithic techno. She’s no stranger to BASEMENT, having appeared in the room nearly two dozen times since the club’s opening. BOUND founder and resident Katie Rex raises the stakes. A fearsome DJ, Rex’s mixture of throbbing, concrete-thick techno with tinges of gothic and industrial substrains has helped seal her reputation as a catalyzing force in NY and abroad.
Miss Twink USA is back in STUDIO. Channeling their hometown’s iconic, delirious energy and jacking percussive power, Miss Twink USA comes in hot and never relents. In addition to their solo work, they are half of the Rumors party and mix series, alongside Ariel Zetina, which has been a hub for queer nightlife in Chicago for over a decade. In all their work, Miss Twink USA brings a blazing urgency and an exquisite poise to the dancefloor. Function founder Makadsi keeps the energy at a peak. A pillar of a certain subsection of NY nightlife, Makadsi embodies the raw, energized lineages of ‘80s gay clubbing. His sound harkens back to Hi-NRG, early house and electro-disco hybrids, all with a modern touch. Sterling Juan Diaz cracks the whip. A mainstay in STUDIO, he delivers driving house and slamming club with a rare conviction.
