Description
BUSH DÜF takes over the spaceship that is Jupiter Disco for another night of cosmic, colorful and cathartic techno. Led by a cockpit of esteemed local selectors making their DÜF debuts, this otherworldly excursion is another finely-tuned sequence as verdant as it is vortex, materializing astonishing vistas both terrestrial and celestial alike. Mike Crowley opens our wormhole with his hypnotic ear for spongy and somatic rhythms for an extended set during the free-entry happy hours. His cerebral productions veer between the chugging and the thumping, sketching riveting portals that beguile more than just the conscious mind. Our party organizer Ben Zo then hammers out unexpectedly psychedelic moments from the familiar and esoteric with his keen intuition for cinematic set construction. At midnight, Lychee takes over with emancipatory techno drawn from hazy selections and sensual mixing of equal depth. As one of Brooklyn's sharpest interceptors of especially interstellar transmissions and a prominent tastemaker in their many local affiliations, we’re excited that their first time playing our party also marks their return to the Jupiter booth since their residency last year. To close, Gentian evokes tender introspection as a cerebral producer and arresting performer. As a more sparkly and spritely counterpart to his more thunderous moniker, BRÄLLE, Gentian’s sound is consistently mesmerizing and surprisingly emotional, driving the dancefloor with a velocity to shake the mind and body with equal rapture until the fog and floor must clear. Free before 10pm. __________ Jupiter Disco is a safe space for all. Our most important goal is to ensure everyone who steps into our space feels welcome and safe. In order to achieve this goal, it's mission critical that everyone approaches each other with respect. That means everyone. We are passionate about bringing people together and building connections between participants in and adjacent to our community. Go ahead and say hi to someone new while you're here with us! If you see or experience anything that makes you feel uncomfortable, please alert one of our team members and we will coordinate a resolution immediately. We encourage everyone to be present and interface with the physical elements around you while you're with us, so we ask that you please limit your phone use throughout the space. Phone screen and camera lights can also be distracting, so please be mindful of the brightness and the length of time you use those lights, if at all. If you intend to smoke (anything), please take a break outside and take a few steps down the block. Don't worry, we always have re-entry.
