Get your FACETIME with your community with mind-bending techno sets from local legends Elle Dee, T.Wan, and FACETIME's NYC resident Eric Umble. FACETIME explores the sound of techno in today's New York City as expressed by local and regional artists who are active in the NYC community. An acclaimed classical musician with a focus on experimental music, Eric's love of repetition and extended forms made his jump to DJing a natural step. Eric is heavily influenced by Detroit Techno, New York house, and experimental modernism. He explores the intersections of multiple musical genres in his sets to create Techno-forward sonic worlds that evoke queerness, modernity, and urban life while striving to articulate our shared contemporary culture in today's world. As founder, lead producer, cuator, and resident artist of the FACETIME and QUALITY TIME parties (founded 2019), Eric is a regular presence on the New York scene and regionally. They have DJ'ed at New York's finest clubs including BASEMENT, Nowadays, H0l0, Mansions, Jupiter Disco, Market Hotel, Trans-Pecos, and he was a 2024 resident artist at Bossa Nova Civic Club. ABOUT ELLE DEE DJ, producer, curator, and being behind Mild Fantasy –– a queer techno label from New York. In the New York City club scene for over ten years, Elle Dee is known for her ability to control a room—shifting between techno, house, and breaks. A trained drummer, Elle has an intuitive understanding of timing and rhythm. Her music selection has landed her gigs in New York's staple venues like Basement, Knockdown Center, Good Room, and Elsewhere, as well as parties in the city and around the world such as Merge, Mala Junta, and Mamba Negra. In March 2020, Elle took the next step and launched the MILD FANTASY label, now heading to its fourth release. ABOUT T.WAN T.Wan is a Brooklyn-based DJ with deep origins in Seattle. A steadfast devotee of the ideal dance floor vibe, her selections traverse sonic textures across genres and categorizations. Her perceptive ear for bass-driven, trippy rhythms captivated listeners at Honcho Campout and has since earned her opportunities to play at notable NYC venues like Nowadays, Basement, and Good Room. As part of Antidote, she also helps throw intimate queer-centric parties in Brooklyn. Before finding herself on the East Coast, she cut her teeth as a DJ/organizer in Seattle with the femme-focused collective TUF and explored her eclectic musical range with a monthly show on Bristol-based Noods Radio, where she’s been a resident for the past 5 years.
