Midday to Sunrise Twenty hours. Two sites. One line drawn from noon to first light. Dimensions of Being returns on August 1 for its largest gathering yet, staged in two parts to celebrate Silent Duality's Birthday, built around a single idea: that Atlanta's underground has been carried for the last ten years by a handful of people who never stopped doing the work. We come together, on one day, on one bill. Both parts are open air. OASIS IN THE PARK East Lake Park · 12PM to 9PM Hosted by Sound Decisions All You Can Eat Orchestra (live, Las Vegas) : A jazz fusion collective out of the downtown Vegas arts district, every member a producer and DJ in their own right. They play long and progressive, closer to the shape of a DJ set than a band's, moving from soft duets to polyrhythmic trance and back. Burning Man, Okeechobee, Jazz in the Park. Improvised, so it only happens once. Stan Zeff founded Tambor Party in a small East Atlanta Village club in 2009 and turned it into something that crossed oceans. Tambor Music, over 100 releases, sixteen years of unbroken monthlies. He has stood next to Black Coffee, Louie Vega and Osunlade. He is the reason a lot of people in this city know what Afro house is. Jeremy Ismael and Akarsh fill out the daylight. Grass, sound, and no reason to hurry. _______________________ IN THE WOODS 11PM to 8AM Silent Duality, founder of Dimensions of Being brings together some of the best artists that have been pushing the underground in Atlanta for the last decade to celebrate his 33rd birthday. Fifteen minutes south of downtown, a private field of grass and old trees. Uplit, open, nothing between the floor and the sky. Night to sunrise, deep, intellectual music uninterrupted on a custom built Sound Decisions Sound System in the woods. This very special lineup needs no introduction...
