Freshly Pressed is teaming up with Encrypted to host a daytime soirée during Pride Week benefitting the Willie Mae Rock Camp (WMRC). The event is on Saturday, June 25th from 12 - 10PM, at an intimate outdoor location in Bushwick, limited capacity so get your tickets ASAP. At a young age Nema Hän understood the world's complexity but also its simplicity. Nema understood the power of being able to detach from the customary depictions of what makes up an identity. Driven by the senses; visual, auditory, movement, and touch are the tools that fuel the passion behind Nema Hän's world of creation. Nema connects and expresses through the hands on approach, regurgitating pieces of Nema’s world residing deep within the soul and imagination whether through cooking up a feast in the kitchen, creating visual arts, sound designing, dancing, selecting records and producing music. Due to life situations beyond Nema’s control, Nema had to slowly craft the artistry on the low for close to three decades before taking the leap to live the life Nema was intended to live. Since then, Nema Hän founded an artist collective throwing events in NY, Berlin, Korea and has traveled internationally playing in Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and in Nema’s home country of South Korea. After being away for close to five years, Nema Hän returned to Brooklyn, where Nema is currently based. Since returning, Nema Hän is continuing to strive in having a positive impact in the music community and has played parties for Vigilante, Resolute, TBA, ftermoth, Apollo Studios, and beyond sharing eclectic, powerful, energetic, and soulful selections. When not playing, Nema Hän stews in the sound laboratory Nema built, where magic is being brewed to make you feel and groove. Camilla Born Italian but cosmopolitan by nature, Camilla started crafting her djing skills in 2019, while exploring and collecting music across countries for more than a decade. Her passion for sound, community and rave culture got her deeply involved in the scenes of Turin, Lisbon, London, Boston and most recently Brooklyn. Oscillating between classic old school records and the newest sounds, her sets tend to be spacey and acid-heavy, leaning into bass driven, uplifting beats when the time is right. Camilla recently launched Encrypted, her very first party series and soon-to-be label in Brooklyn. https://soundcloud.com/camilla-lubatti Vivian Wang Beijing born Vivian Wang, now based out of NYC, developed a passion for music at an early age through classical piano and violin training and discovered her love to electronic music at an early age through her father & on the dancefloors. Vivian spends her time digging for vinyl and experimenting and creating music with analogue sounds in the studio. While still relatively new to the NYC music community, she has already had the chance to share the stage with artists such as Juan Atkins, Andrey Pushkarev, Cassy, Seth Troxler, Danny Tenaglia, and Anfisa Letyago. She recently released her first collaboration track on Brooklyn Sway, titled Numbers and is hard at work on her first EP. https://soundcloud.com/vivian-yu-wang Corrina California native Corrina Schlaile, a multi-dimensional artist and new to playing in the NYC underground community, started collecting records three years ago, the same time she moved to NYC, got her hands on turntables, and has been hooked on playing vinyl ever since. Her selections reflect her exploration of minimal, tech house, techno, and the beloved electro. She is an up and coming vinyl artist performing at various underground parties in NYC. https://soundcloud.com/corrina-schlaile Asha Jasz A Polish native and Brooklyn resident, Asha, is a music enthusiast and record collector focused on underground house and techno. Her musical taste took shape throughout her teenage years while growing up in Europe, and later in life while living in the US and attending music festivities throughout the World. She is passionate about cultivating music and arts in today’s world, due to their strong role in human existence.
