Description
DJ, producer and Sisters in Sound co-founder Fátima is on a mission to diversify music. Born in Mexico and based in the US, Fátima started DJing in 2017, driven by a passion to amplify underrepresented artists. Six years later and she’s toured both countries sharing her unique blend of driving, earthy and bold genres, from world beats to indie dance, in bucket list cities including Berlin, New York, San Francisco, Washington D.C., Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta and Oaxaca. She simultaneously runs Sisters in Sound, a women-led collective focused on empowering emerging women and nonbinary artists in music. And Fátima has no plans to slow down - with a slate of tracks dropping in 2024, complimenting previous releases on Chrom Recordings and High Class Nasty. For a taste of Fátima’s sound and style, check out her Soundcloud page, with free downloads of tracks referencing Mexican culture including Doble P a tribute to Peso Pluma and La Doña featuring screen siren Maria Félix’s vocals.
