Hoy Como Ayer & Violet Presents: La Peña

La Peña is born from a deep need: to create a community space that manifests culturally through music, spreading and preserving traditions. La Peña is a gathering to share identity, social commitment, and collective celebration. In this first edition in Miami, we open the doors to Afro-Cuban music with rumberos, singers, dancers, and special guests joining with the spirit of the people. The people are defined through food, drink, dance, joys, sorrows, challenges, and hopes. Inspired by the peñas of Eastern Cuba, we will be offering sancocho and a shot from our friends over at Pa’Lante x Primo x Cardenxe — a gesture that brings music and our ancestors together at the same table, creating a true cultural feast. From all the Latin neighborhoods of Miami, the invitation is made to spark and live a moment of tradition. ____________________ La Peña nace desde una necesidad profunda: crear un espacio comunitario que se manifiesta culturalmente a través de la música, difundiendo y preservando sus tradiciones. La Peña es un junte para compartir identidad, compromiso social y celebración colectiva. En esta primera edición, en Miami, abriremos las puertas a la música afro-cubana con rumberos, cantantes y bailarines, e invitados especiales que se unen con espíritu de pueblo. El pueblo se define entre comida, bebida, baile, alegrías, tristezas, desafíos y esperanzas. Por eso, inspirados en las peñas de Cuba-oriental, estaremos regalando un sancochito y un shot por nuestros amigos de Pa’lante x Primo x Cardenxe, gesto que une, en una misma mesa, la música y nuestros ancestros, para un banquete cultural. Desde todos los barrios latinos de Miami, la invitación está hecha, a provocar y vivir un acontecimiento de tradición.
