HYBRID IDENTITY officially rebranded Scotia Lychee MI’s 30th + OFFICIAL REBRAND pop-up We’re back with the new chapter of Hybrid Identity, on a new sonic route—boisterous, sharp, and rooted in electro. It’s still about experimentation, but with a new pulse and room for surprises. This edition also marks the 30th birthday of our collaborator MI Leggett of Official Rebrand. Fierce/ Frightening looks encouraged. Featuring a spooky/sexy pop-up of his anti-waste gender-free clothing, alongside a special 30x30x30 Mezcal Negroni to t/roast. Because everyone deserves to be seen, We’re dedicated to making space for underrepresented voices. Dolls/Ken Dolls VIP! ~ Scotia weaves together the contemporary frontiers of Techno with the foundational sounds of Acid, House & Disco, and Club music she fell in love with in her youth. She is a firecracker trickster with a burning love for classic drum machines, and began DJing in the early 2000s. Scotia is a resident of the Hudson Valley’s Community Rave Network, where she has lovingly helped to build a thriving Queer-centered dance community. ~ Lychee is a colorful and perpetually exploratory DJ and event organizer. A voracious reader and writer, they ever-thoughtfully explore human experience and interconnectedness through words, soundwaves, and the expansive, wobbling pulse of the dancefloor. They run Spontaneous Affinity, a mix and interview series that explores the connection between dancefloors and artists, and are involved in several collectives, including Antidote and Meridian, as well as co-running the label Unimatrix Zero.
