Description
This workshop series focuses on learning the essential tools to translate your ideas into sound. You’ll learn how to construct grooves, write hooks, and build tracks that hold up in a club environment. After each lecture, stay for two hours of lab time, where you can connect with peers, exchange ideas, collaborate, and test your tracks on the club’s sound system. We recommend beginners commit to the entire series for the best experience, but drop-ins are welcome. Space is limited, and tickets are $20 per session. Laptops with Ableton 12 Suite and headphones are highly recommended. See promotional links for access to a free 30-Day demo of Ableton Live 12 Suite. Discounts are available upon request. This event is hosted by The New York Record Club for the Advancement of the Arts and JP Solis, co-founder of Dubspot, the first Ableton Certified Training Center in North America. /// Violence, non-consensual touching, racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, ageist or other discriminatory language, and leering are not allowed within our walls or in our back yard.
