Kabarett - Kulturfest 2024 Warm-Up Party

KULTURfest 2024 warm-up party Gala Cricri and Venga Venga created a night of cabaret, performance and electronic music for the warm-up of Kulturfest this year. Between the party and the happening, between music and performance. Cabaret as an artistic instrument of revolution, of mockery and metaphor, of genuine and transformative art. From the classic Berlin cabaret from the beginning of the 20th century full of cynicism and political satire, its representation immortalized in the musical with Liza Minnelli, or even the visionary queer revolution of Cabaret Eldorado. But also the Cabaret Voltaire in Zurich, the birthplace of the Dadaist movement and its avant-garde nonsense universe. In a tale by the Brothers Grimm or in a bizarre dream by Kafka, the Kabarett night will take over the secular halls of Palácio do Grilo on January 27th, Saturday, from 10pm. Hosts Venga Venga share the stage with German DJ Tiljto and burlesque performers Fraulein Margret and Cher no-Billz. KULTURfest, Festival of Cultures of German Expression, is a Goethe-Institut project in its first edition.
