Description
Saturday 20 June 2026 9:00pm-02:00am Lineup\ Lil' Louis Aiko Inoue Lil' Louis One of the grand masters of house as well as one of its earliest breakout stars, Lil’ Louis remains defined by the eternal classics ‘French Kiss’ and ‘I Called You’, two of the repertoire’s biggest early hits that remain vital in clubs. His story cuts much deeper however: born into a musical family in Chicago, he played drums and bass as a child and owned his own club by the end of the 70s. His pioneering house parties in the 80s quickly became the biggest in Chitown, setting the stage for early collaborations in the duo Hercules and with later-legendary house vocalist Byron Stingily. One of the few artists in dance music to successfully navigate the major label challenge, he released two albums as Lil’ Louis & The World for Epic; the first, From the Mind of Lil’ Louis’, remains a high-water mark for the genre, featuring guest spots from Larry Heard, Chicago industrial stars Die Warzau, and his own father. Lil’ Louis’ catalogue reads like a dictionary of house classics, with establishing work on Dance Mania & majors giving way to a run on important independents like Strictly Rhythm, Night Grooves, BPM King Street Sounds, and more. He remains active on the DJ circuit, with uncommon, stunning appearances that live up to heavy expectations placed on foundational figures like himself.Aiko Inoue is a Tokyo-based DJ and producer whose sound blends classic house, disco, and modern club music. A rising force in the international underground scene, she has played across Japan and Europe while developing her own productions. On June 20, she will perform alongside house music legend and founding pioneer Lil' Louis in Baltimore at Dark Room
