We welcome Magic Sunset to our beach for its first-ever time in Portugal. Magic Sunset carries its openness to the world & feeling of freedom that transpires from the happiness of weaving a tapestry of musical colours.
Starting from 7 PM, we merge into the night under a live act & electro looping maze from multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Berlin, Rico Loop. As he chases fugitive sounds, sampling strange noises and cryptic voices, he assembles them into an intricate aural embroidery. The evening follows with an eclectic DJ set of electronic world music & downtempo from special guest from Milan, M@kossa. As he hypnotizes with his beats, he creates the pillars of a story worth staying up for. Finally, Ibicenco nu groove and beat collector Jaime Fiorito closes the party with curation from his latest fresh selection of Balearic grooves & eclectic sounds. Focussed on building cultural connections, the agile & fluid movements he creates through inspirations know no boundaries and are the catalysts he uses to structure and connect. Follow along as normal and common are unfamiliar as he takes us into unrestrained ecstasy.
ABOUT MAGIC SUNSET
Magic Sunset started last year in 2021 at El Silencio in Ibiza. Every Thursday, as Ibizas’ warm sunset is celebrated at Cala Moli, an eclectic array of colourful people come together around a moment of levitating melodies and hybrid acoustic performances, interconnecting people and cultures from world electronics DJ sets and live acts.
The night is hosted by Ibiza homeboy DJ Jaime Fiorito, who grew among the streets of the island: from the calm of the rural walks in the north of St Agnes to the explosion of celebration and wild tales at DC10 in the south, he’s seen it all and continues to breathe into his music, a deep inspiration from his roots.
Son of DJ Alfredo, who has been recognized to be the pioneer of the Balearic Beat movement in the mid-’80s in Ibiza, he decided to take a different route: one that explores cultural connections, the road of venues with a completely different consumption approach.
