Description
This poetry reading and open mic night is aimed to build a space for a community of writers to freely express and share their crafts with other writers in the ATL area. Thank you @kualigallery for collaborating with us for this special night. THE THEME: Nunca Te Olvidaré aims to keep the traditions of Día de Muertos alive. They say that in life you die twice. Once, when you physically leave this world, and twice, when the last person has spoke about you. This theme is of remembrance, of celebration, and keeping our loved ones alive in our hearts, minds and souls. In addition to the poetry reading and open mic, we will be creating a community ofrenda in remembrance of our loved ones and in efforts to “nunca olvidarlos”. Please bring any items you'd like to add to the ofrenda.
