Orlas, from the Portuguese word for “shores,” is a Brazilian father-son project crafted by Victor Chicri and Vic Delnur, bridging generations through a shared musical vision. Channeling the spirit of 1970s Brazil, they blend psychedelic folk, samba-jazz, and bossa nova, layering nylon guitar, percussion, bass, Rhodes, and Micromoog beneath warm, cosmic vocals. Chicri, a pianist, producer, and Latin Grammy–recognized artist, has performed and recorded with legends such as Gal Costa, Seu Jorge, Bebel Gilberto, Tim Maia and appeared at the Montreux Jazz Festival alongside the Quincy Jones Orchestra, earning multiple gold and platinum records. Vic Delnur, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, has toured internationally and collaborated with artists including Sessa, Mahmundi, Luciane Dom, and Trella. Their debut LP Viver o Mar features 11 tracks enriched by an eight-piece orchestra, with highlights like “Alagoas,” “Sabor de Você,” and the title track, "Viver o Mar". Live, joined by a dynamic ensemble of vocalists and instrumentalists, Orlas merges Brazil’s rich musical heritage with a bold, contemporary sound inspired by icons such as Marcos Valle, Azymuth, João Donato, Artur Verocai, Lincoln Olivetti and Robson Jorge. --- Orlas draws its name from the Portuguese word for 'shores' or 'coasts.'
