ØVSA LIVE 1st of May minimal rave On May 1st we fight for worker's rights internationally. We take a stand for equal rights, make a move against racism, facism and exploitation of workers. Nationally we will be marching in the streets of Copenhagen all day and in the evening we invite you to land in a melancholic, atmospheric, soft setting with us at ØVSA Live. We will have some soothing, modular synthesis, breakbeat, house tunes ready for you performed by: Harmon & flieder You'll be wrapped up in zealous live sets, showcasing phenomenal finesse and an ear for subtle, cosy music with maximum efficiency and lots of groove to the dancefloor. ABOUT THE ARTISTS flieder *live: What happens when you blend Kahl, Kaemena, Brigade, some modular synthesis and a city brimming with electronic music and innovation? You guessed it (or not), out comes: flieder - an outstanding Berlin trio. This German threesome hooked up some years ago and used their time to perfect the art of creating subtle, cosy music with maximum efficiency. Like true alchemists, they possess an uncanny ability to transform ordinary, everyday elements into pure gold with their artistry. Like no other, these three Berliners manage to create a deafening silence. Each element in their music is stripped back, yet speaks a thousand words. What they have to offer is nothing less than impressive. Sparse, slowed down, ghostly yet truly effective electronic work that's ready to fog up the dance floor. With his new project he fuses abstract modular synthesis and sampling techniques with live guitar and a tendency to melancholic atmospheres, always balancing minimalist aesthetic and maximalist feelings. His immersive sound exists between the fringes of downtempo, minimal, breakbeats and house and tries to avoid the all too obvious conventions of said genres while remaining passionate, melodic and groove oriented. His performances breathe through live instrumentation, analog effects and the spontaneity of the moment. Getting our groove on before midnight and doing all the dancing, hugging all the friends, hearing all the amazing music - all whilst still being able to enjoy the rest of our weekend. No sleep needs to be disturbed. Besides that, we care about really good sound and minimum traffic on the dancefloor. Live acts and vinyl only. Doors open at 7 pm Doors close at 8 pm* Event ends at 01 am *We kindly ask all ticketholders to arrive between 7-8 pm. After 8 pm it is no longer possible to buy tickets, and the entry is only open for ticketholders. Location is in Copenhagen and will be announced to ticketholders prior to the event. Ticketholders will receive the information by email. Tickets are available in two batches: 1st batch - 150 DKK 2nd batch - 180 DKK Additionally, we have an option for you to make a donation if you feel like sharing some resources with us to pay our association bills. Everyone in the crew works voluntarily and resources will be spent solely on bureaucratic necessities, which allow us to continue making these events.
