Opening the house, Brooklyn-based vocalist and selector Shaun J. Wright begins with refined grooves and soft melodic threads that tangle into gentle, slow-forming shapes, lulling and luring listeners. London’s Serenda follows, drawing a soundbath of luminous tones and rhythmic patterns that shimmer and reform through genre blends and warped textures, to craft an invigorating atmosphere. Perfect then to toss it over to Makadsi. With a reputation as NYC’s fav “rave activator” that precedes him, he needs little introduction, but expect him to the energy cast upon him by our openers, and flipping that switch into full throttle.
