Southside Movement brings Stonie Blue and Ben Hixon together behind the decks for a joint session in the Foyer at Dead Letter No. 9 on Thursday, March 19th. Expect groove-forward selections, Southern rhythm, and Brooklyn club energy woven into one back-to-back set. Free with RSVP — pull up early, lock in, and let it ride. Stonie Blue (Ant Blue Jr.) is a Dallas-born, New York–based DJ, producer, and multidisciplinary creative. As the founder of the party Body Rock and co-founder of the Believe In Yourself Do It Yourself movement and record label, he’s built a DIY ethos into everything he does from his genre-bending DJ sets to house-infused productions rooted in groove and heart. Across multiple EPs — including SHAG (2024), Big Motion (2023), Gardens (2023), New Day (2023), 67 South (2023), and earlier releases like Move Me (2018) — Stonie Blue merges soulful rhythms with club-ready energy, carving out a signature sound that reflects both his southern roots and New York’s eclectic dancefloor spirit. Beyond music, Ant’s creative footprint spans photography, animation, and event curation, making him a standout figure in the independent culture of modern house and beyond. Ben Hixon is a musician, producer, mixing & mastering engineer, and DJ also from Dallas, Texas, now based in Brooklyn, NY. His background as a multi-instrumentalist informs a production style that’s rhythm-focused and detail-oriented, balancing musicality with club functionality. Releasing through Dolfin Records, Hixon moves between studio work and DJ sets with the same precision—bringing a clean, intentional approach to everything from groove-led house records to collaborative projects.
