Mário Valente, resident DJ and booker at the legendary Lounge since 1999 (RIP!), is an unstoppable and defining figure of Lisbon’s nightlife. A versatile selector, his sets move effortlessly through italo, house, hi-nrg, dub, breaks, punk, and psychedelia, while reflecting his deep obsession with horror and sci-fi film soundtracks, of which he is an avid collector. He maintains regular appearances at clubs across Lisbon and has hosted the weekly radio show SALÓN FUZZ since 2014 on Rádio Futura (previously Vodafone FM). He is also the co-host and DJ behind the queer italo-disco party A Night Out With The Hard Ones, one of the founders of the hi-fi party Vem!, and, in recent years, has also established himself as a producer, delivering remixes for both national and international artists. Over the past decade, the Lisbon-based DJ has also divided his time between Lisbon and London, performing at venues such as Spiritland, Brilliant Corners, Dalston Superstore, and Stone Nest, as well as appearing at parties including Beauty & the Beat, Meat, Happy Endings, and Pumping Velvet.
