With a rich musical background, Pedro Piu’s sets flow seamlessly across a wide range of influences — blending the groove of ’70s soul and funk with the pulse of house music and its many variations. Throughout, he preserves the unique sound that earned him residencies at some of Rio de Janeiro’s most iconic electronic venues, including Club Cave, Dama de Ferro, Fosfobox, 00 Bar, and Eden. Driven by the dancefloor, his sets are defined by heavy grooves and striking vocals. His versatility has led him to hold residencies across a diverse range of projects, such as Breakz, Festa Me Gusta, Funk the Chic, Manga Rosa, and Barco do Amor. He is also the founder of Brazilian Wax — a collective that brings together DJs and visual artists around a distinctive blend of house music and urban, broken beats. Pedro’s musical journey has also connected him to major art and cultural events such as Arte Core, ArtRio, and Arte Rua. He has performed at MAM (Museum of Modern Art) and at festivals across Brazil, including Rio Me, TribalTech, Rio Music Conference, Euphoria, Universo Paralelo, and Adhana Festival — as well as internationally, with appearances such as OutJazz in Lisbon.
