ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Thomas Von Party:
Career A&R man, Thomas Von Party was born into DJ royalty. His father was proto-trance / industrial Goa party organizer Dr Bobby, and his brother is none other than Montreal rave legend Tiga. Thomas started DJing at 13, earned his chops working at Montreal’s era-defining DNA Records, and spent a solid decade curating well over 100 releases for the titanic Turbo imprint.
In 2013 he launched globally-minded record label Multi Culti, shortly before founding the nightclub ‘Datcha,’ now a beloved fixture in Montreal’s nightlife scene, where he acts as resident DJ and talent booker, showcasing his wide-eyed vision of dance music. In 2014 he took a year to peer into the future, launching algorithmic mastering engine LANDR Audio Inc.
Original productions like Cobra Kush and Wet Raga have earned him plays from the likes of heavyweights like Dixon and Harvey, he has a whole slew of releases under different pseudonyms on his Party Central imprint as well as Multi Culti, and his online radio show ‘Multi Culti Transmissions’ has wracked up over 100 000 plays. He’s DJ’d the world over, played at Coachella, Hard Fest, Love International, Glastonbury, has a residency at the venerable Opium Club in Lithuania, a regular at Mayan Warrior, and garners a cult following with his wide-ranging programming.
Since the pandemic, he’s been nerding out releasing NFTs on Foundation and Pianity, collaborating as part of the
Pollinations.ai collective, the Refraction DAO, tinkering in Blender and getting busy developing an ambitious Web3 music platform.
