LET'S GET TOSSD! Returning to our home block, we're setting up shop for the day above our very first location featuring a lineup of extremely-hard-working-artists who have been fixtures in the NYC (and beyond) scene. If you were in the marshy fields of East New York when the cops raided the rave during DJ Miss Parker's set, or at the Unter Pride Afters (rip Chernobyl and The Muse) for Juana's house set - where the music was so good we didn't give a fuck about the mosquitoes - then you already know just what kind of party this'll be: a memorable one. In the 2010s, Juana made her mark in DC as one of only a handful of techno DJs and a resident of the legendary rave, Sequence, and started regularly touring North and South America and EU. In the 2020s, Juana picked up major momentum, becoming a resident of the renowned rave Unter and making frequent appearances at Basement, Nowadays, and Paragon. She has been a founding member of the DC QT BIPOC collective NOXEEMA JACKSON since 2021. Now a resident of Merge, Juana is an artist we deeply admire and have been wanting to bring to TOSSD for quite some time. DJ Miss Parker is a Brooklyn-based sonic architect whose encyclopedic knowledge of dance music has made them a true educator for scores of Brooklyn’s bleary-eyed dancers. A true DJ’s DJ, DJ Miss Parker can be seen most weekends spinning throughout the city’s hot spots with a crate of vinyl and with one ear pointed towards today and another towards the legends of the past. DJ Miss Parker is quick to reference a bevy of sounds, styles and clubs from NYC’s many eras throughout their sets. They are known for creating rave ready and thought provoking mixes that without a doubt will leave you sweating. Again, a true DJ's DJ and one of our NYC favorites. A lifelong devotee of electronic music, S4M23 began performing experimental live sets and DJing around New England at 15, later immersing herself in Chicago and New York’s underground scenes through her collective KOR's first events. With releases on labels like Evar Records, Low Income Squad, and Gyration Station, her sound reflects a deeply informed ear and reverence for the dancefloor. Sam's sound as a DJ always strives to push the envelope, representing a mutant collision of Midwest Electronics, Belgian New Beat, and other oddities. Connor Wrong hails from Houston, where their training as a multi-instrumentalist in the classical and jazz traditions set the groundwork for their pan-genre approach to DJing and music production. The young DJ’s work centers on a psy grounded yet acoustically tinged take on techno, bass, electro, and house. And of course, last but certainly not least, the NC-raised and BK-bass’d TOSSD resident, DJ DEADNAME, brings the party with a hot, kinetic dynamism that embraces the contradictions of It All. Her style is unmistakably clubby and bass-heavy, but draws from a smattering of influences into something that feels distinctly hers: rowdy yet focused, wily yet sincere, punchy, sludgy, and ultimately, sickening.
