We have been waiting to announce our new event series on The Hiyu (or really anywhere where water is involved), and it’s finally here. Our new event series is called “sea sound” as a nod to our beautiful city, the medium on which The Hiyu obviously travels across, and with an inspiration from cymatics - the study of visualizing sound and vibration patterns (or “seeing” sound). You’ll see it in each event’s artwork.

Our first sea sound features a star in the making, Sistek! Sistek is the perfect launch for this series and will be a great Sunday afternoon cruise with his Latin and Afro-infused sound. The South American star already has over 1 million monthly Spotify listeners, his productions are garning a lot of acclaim (he has even remixed Tiesto), and he is on a massive worldwide tour. We caught him on his rise.

We have a very special guest DJ on direct support. If you’ve spent any time on Twitch watching DJ sets, you know Pyka. Her marathon sets are notorious, and her love for the darker, deeper sounds is well-known. We are thrilled she is making a trip to Seattle to join us on the Hiyu.

Mexico City native DJC has been putting in serious work as a DJ and promoter in Seattle and has earned an opening (and closing set) for a one of Latin America’s rising stars. Arrive early for DJC and happy hour!
