aufnahme + wiedergabe presents XENO & OAKLANDER (live) - only show in Germany - [Dais Records] Synth Pop / Minimal Synth www.xenoandoaklander.bandcamp.com A SOLEMN PROMISE (live) [Strange Therapy] Industrial/Neoclassical project from Berlin www.soundcloud.com/a_solemn_promise Xeno & Oaklander are a minimal electronics duo (Liz Wendelbo and Sean McBride of Martial Canterel) based in Brooklyn, New York. They have been deeply involved in the analog synth community since 2004 (the release of their debut Vigils LP on Xanten), and have helped promote and inspire the revival of synth wave in the US and throughout the world through their extensive touring and prolific output. Jonathan Baker and Benedikta Ársælsdóttir explore as a solemn promise an emotional state of feeling isolated and seeking comfort in each other, like pigeons gathering at your local square, with their EP ´feathers´. The duo creates a sound that’s vulnerable yet abrasive, combining sonic elements of industrial and neoclassical.
