GHOSTWOMAN returns with Welcome to the Civilized World, a record born from collapse, futility, and instinct rather than reason. Formed by Evan Uschenko and Ille van Dessel, the project began in an abandoned Alberta farmhouse, where Uschenko recorded the self-released debut straight to cassette. Drawn together by a shared hunger to make music untouched by ego or cynicism, the duo forged a sound where rusted guitars and caustic drums collide. The new album channels psychic grunge, decayed Americana, and instinctive, first-take chemistry. Written across Canada and Belgium on dying equipment, its songs exist like fleeting photographs—raw, unrepeatable, and eerily alive.
