Summer nights are on the way.
As the heavy humidity of warm weather in DC draws near, a foul presence hums low in the dark. Noises creep and crawl from deep within the weeds, growls of hunger. Are you predator or prey? You’re stuck in… The Swamp.
Under the May moonlight, at the stroke of 23:00, The Swamp opens its doors to those who dare take the invitation. DC’s own KRØK invites a militia of the most dangerous up-and-coming techno DJ-producers that the East Coast has to offer to pressurize our hell.
KRØK makes his DC headlining debut, taking CENTER STAGE for a blazing TWO-HOUR set of his renowned dark, driving, percussion-focused industrial madness.
DC-Native, Brooklyn-based Syrian artist RAH is no stranger to the denizens of the DC underground scene, either. She comes serving bass, her style embodying the idea of uncertain consistency, manipulating elements that may initially feel uncomfortable…yet over time, they fuse into something entirely unique. Her one-of-a-kind selections have supported groove legends like Alarico, Patrick Mason, and Hector Oaks.
Miami-based Kevin Bithell comes as an incredibly experienced selector, supporting the likes of DVS1, D.Dan, and Perc with his intricate, minimal sound and passion for pushing boundaries. His experimental style and unique layering methods have spurred his rise as a staple of the Miami underground.
Also from Miami, Madison Kay diversifies the night with her dynamic blend of groovy, bouncy, minimal, and hypnotic sounds. The sassy groove that underpins her energy behind the decks has earned her support slots with techno staples such as Funk Tribu, Future.666, and Dax J.
Last but certainly not least, New Yorker Bambi closes the night with his signature flavor with friction style. Having played alongside hard techno staples like Triptykh and TonalTheory, Bambi’s high-octane mixing and unrelenting track selections accompany his stellar productions as he drives the dancefloor into the early morning hours.
Facing you with all their storied aggression, the TurboSound stacks will be shaking the floor all night long, courtesy of Eklektik Elektrik.
Don’t get lost under the moonlight… We’ll see you there.
