LIGHT HAUS IS THE MARRIAGE OF THE ARTFUL TRADITIONS OF DJING AND LIVE LIQUID OIL AND INK VISUALS. IT IS THE MELDING OF EXPERIENTIAL MOVEMENTS FROM THE 60’s-90’s BORN FROM THE NOTION THAT LIGHT AND SOUND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN INTERTWINED.
LIGHT HAUS IS INTENDED TO RE-IMAGINE ONE’S APPROACH TO THE DANCE-FLOOR, TURNING OURSELVES AWAY FROM THE DJ BOOTH AND BACK TO EACH OTHER AND OUR SURROUNDINGS.
LIGHT HAUS IS EPHEMERAL AND EVER-CHANGING. NO EXPERIENCE WILL REPEAT ITSELF, NOR WILL IT BE FORGOTTEN.
LIGHT HAUS is the collaborative project of Thomas Dumont(DOMMYtumont) and Dominic Cota(Cosmic Dommy). Recently reconnected in Denver, after having crossed paths multiple times in the festival touring circuits, Thomas and Dominic set out to bring a new but familiar experience to the dance music scene. Combining a more analogue and immersive approach to Visuals, and a deep love for the underground, they conceived LIGHT HAUS. This is an intentional shift away from the high-tech lasers and modern 3d animations that have flooded the scene back into the ephemeral and organic artform of live liquid plate visuals.
