Acid Mama: Jules, Dio Garcia, Aria Pash

Dio Garcia brings together a couple of remarkable Brooklyn DJs for an evening of infectious rhythms at TBA Brooklyn. Joining him will be Jules, the founder of the local event series Giri, alongside the emerging talent Aria Pash. Dio Garcia, half of the Brooklyn-based duo Acid Mama and originally from Miami, infuses his music with the vibrant influences of his hometown. His eclectic sound spans various genres, yet carries a distinctive familiarity that inevitably entices listeners to perk up their ears and shake their hips. Jules, a native New Yorker, has been a fixture in the city's underground dance scene for over a decade. Formerly a buyer at the renowned record shop Halcyon (RIP), Jules boasts an extensive collection of records bound to no genre but all tied together by a common thread of groove. His roaming party series GIRI takes place at underground locations across NYC, featuring a wide ranging mix of talented DJs that illustrate bass, rhythm, and groove in all of its forms. He's currently in the process of launching an invite-only DIY space called TRACE, designed to host local DJs and their traveling friends in an intimate+safe setting, featuring a custom soundsystem hand built by Jules himself, promising a truly unique space for you to express yourself in. Born in the UK and raised in Cyprus, Aria Pash grew up in a musical household where she classically trained on the violin and drums. After moving to Manchester and London she fell deeply into the world of electronic music -adding to an already diverse musical background that influences her multifaceted sound. Her sets weave together techno, house, dance, breakbeat, and everything in between. Shifting between a high energy feel-good vibe, to an aura of moodiness and depth, Aria aims to craft a musical journey that unites bodies in movement, and minds across states. The night will commence with Aria setting the mood, followed by a back-to-back session between Jules and Dio, promising a lively and energetic atmosphere.
