Pour le premier événement Al Beyt à la Communale Saint-Ouen, on vous attend nombreux·euses ! ----- English version below ------ • Dès 19h, projection de Control Anatomy (17') de Mahmoud Alhaj, réalisateur gazaoui arrivé en France en 2024. Projection suivie d'une discussion avec le réalisateur. Synopsis : À travers un mélange d'images puissantes, d'archives et de documents historiques, la voix de Mahmoud nous emmène dans un voyage de plusieurs décennies à la découverte de la transformation des outils de guerre et de leur relation avec l'éthique, la mémoire, la technologie et la violence infligée au peuple palestinien. Le film aborde trois générations de violence, correspondant à différents moments historiques, révélant la distorsion invisible de la violence qui se déploie sur une longue période. • Dès 21h, la salle de concert s'ouvre pour une soirée avec des artistes syriens vivant en France, Pays-Bas, Allemagne, réunis pour l'occasion. La musicienne Climène Zarkan basée à Paris sera accompagnée de Baptiste Ferrandis et d'autres invités pour un live acoustique inédit. Le groupe Sharake composé de Yazan al sabbagh et Saleh Katbeh, arrive de Berlin. Leur musique mélange vibes orientales et sons électro, en mixant instruments acoustiques et textures électroniques. Ils parle d’identité, de nostalgie et de culture, créant un pont entre traditions et modernité. Noise Diva, icône de la musique syrienne actuelle, nous rejoint d'Amsterdam pour finir cette soirée par un dj set. L’association loi 1901 COLLECTIF AL-BEYT a été fondée en 2021 à Paris par des exilés politiques syriens et leurs allié·es. Le collectif organise des évènements réunissant discussions, concerts, projections, performances, expositions, repas, etc. Depuis 2021, Al Beyt fonctionne avec une équipe 100% bénévole et a réunit des fonds uniquement avec les bénéfices de ses activités culturelles pour des projets de soutien en Syrie. Nous avons acheté un terrain et construit 9 maisons pour reloger des familles déplacées dans la région d'Idleb vivant dans des camps. Une initiative autonome, à notre échelle. Depuis la chute du régime de Bachar Al-Assad, on se focalise désormais sur l'achat d'un lieu collectif/centre culturel et social à Damas. Tous les bénéfices générés par l'achat des billets pour cet événement seront donc versés à ce nouveau projet. The screening will be followed by a discussion with the director. Synopsis: Through a blend of powerful images, archives, and historical documents, Mahmoud’s voice takes us on a journey across several decades, exploring the transformation of instruments of war and their relationship with ethics, memory, technology, and the violence inflicted on the Palestinian people. The film examines three generations of violence, tied to different historical moments, exposing the invisible distortion of violence unfolding across a long timespan. • From 9 PM: The concert hall opens for a night with Syrian artists living in France, the Netherlands, and Germany, gathered together for this occasion. Paris-based musician Climène Zarkan will perform an exclusive acoustic live set, joined by Baptiste Ferrandis and other guests. The duo Sharake, made up of Yazan al Sabbagh and Saleh Katbeh, will be coming from Berlin. Their music blends oriental vibes with electronic sounds, mixing acoustic instruments with digital textures. Their work speaks of identity, nostalgia, and culture, building a bridge between tradition and modernity. Finally, Noise Diva, a leading figure of the contemporary Syrian music scene, joins us from Amsterdam to close the night with a DJ set. • The non-profit association COLLECTIF AL-BEYT was founded in 2021 in Paris by Syrian political exiles and their allies. The collective organizes events bringing together discussions, concerts, screenings, performances, exhibitions, shared meals, and more. Since 2021, Al Beyt has been run entirely by volunteers and has raised funds exclusively through the profits of its cultural activities to support projects in Syria. We purchased land and built 9 houses to relocate displaced families in the Idlib region who were living in camps. A self-managed, small-scale initiative. Since the fall of Bashar Al-Assad’s regime, our focus has shifted towards purchasing a collective space / cultural and social center in Damascus. All profits generated from ticket sales for this event will therefore go directly to this new project.
