Alegria Presents Soursopp in Public Hotel

Our favorite music diggers Rakim Under and David Triana are back in town on October 20th, bringing the eclectic vibes of London's Soursopp collective to NYC. From Fabric London to Sophie Festival in Malaga, they've set dance floors on fire worldwide. Join us at PUBLIC Hotel, owned by Studio 54's Ian Schrager, for a night to remember. We couldn’t do this night without our star resident DJ, Gaspar Muniz. Founder of Alegria, Kenny Jones will be setting the tone for the night starting 10 pm. I have shot and captured countless reflections, all seemingly useless. I knew the only use for them would be to compile them and create a beautiful visual for a dance party. Even though this is entirely abstract, there are aspects (shakiness, blurriness, eyes and bodies) within that denounces its organic nature; that this was made by a human, not an AI. There is an inevitable realism in the abstraction as I only superimposed images of what is familiar to us here in NYC. All components of living things were considered to abstract and distort.
