Amsterdam Techno Sessions w/ James Cherry & Marco Ramos

Amsterdam Techno Sessions is a weekly Techno event, held every Thursday, in Amsterdam. Every week, local and international artists are invited to showcase their work and personal interpretation of Techno. For this Thursday, 20th of July 2023, we prepared another stellar Techno night, headlined by James Chery and our resident DJ, Marco Ramos! James Cherry has been loitering around the fringes of the Irish techno scene for some time, with multiple stand-out performances in the seminal Hangar club and some recent shows in Dublin’s newest techno fortress, Cellar. The young DJ offers a divergent sound to the rumbling kicks and screeches that often inhabit Dublin’s sound systems from week to week. James Cherry delves into deeper territories with trippy melodies, metallic percussive grooves, pulsating modulations and direct techno power. James Cherry recently released on coveted labels such as Berlin’s Corpus, Dublins Delinquent Delivery and most notably an album on the fabled Subsist Records which has been home to instrumental techno figures such as Stanislav Tolkachev, SHXCXCHCXSH, Ritzi Lee, Mike Storm & more. It’s clear that James Cherry is carving his name into the history of Irish techno. Marco Ramos is a Portuguese bohemian DJ/producer, art, music and nightlife lover, based in Amsterdam. His distinctive mixing style and eclectic sets make him a very versatile DJ mixing from Techno to Electro. As a DJ he played in some key clubs and music festivals in Portugal, Spain, Netherlands and Germany as Nature One Festival, Kadoc, Attika Disco, Domus, Komlex Lisbon, NADA Temple, Indústria Porto, Ground Luxembourg, Lenox Club, Sugar Factory, Paradiso Amsterdam, Reset Club Zaragoza, The Crane Faralda Hotel, Coimbra Dance Event and shared the stage with international artists as Alexi Delano, A.Paul, Ben Long, Billy Nasty, Carl Craig, Dextro, among many others... 
As a producer, he recently started his adventure by releasing a track “Walking Life” part of the V.A. compilation released on the Spanish label VS and a 10-track LP, “Voyager” on the established Subsist Records. Being supported by artists such as Audio Injection, A Thousand Details, Drum Complex, DVS1, Elyas, Gotshell, Jeroen Search, Laurent Garnier, Pacou, and Oliver Rosemann… is a clear sign that he´s on the right track.
