Artists’ Film Nights is the series of intimate projections exploring the boundaries between private and public life, complementing our current exhibition, A Public Affair. It consists of two screening events on 13 February and 13 March, providing a platform for emerging filmmakers to showcase their works.
The curated selection of films opens up a conversation on the delicate and often fraught interplay between what is kept intimate and what becomes exposed.
This will be the second night in a series exploring the revelations that occur when the innermost is laid bare. With themes ranging from secrecy to confession, these films invite the audience into a realm of introspection.
Through personal stories, surreal landscapes, and societal critique, three films by Kia Sciarrone, Shafagh Abosaba and Samuel Spreyz confront the politics of self-expression and the challenges of breaking free from imposed norms.
