Autonomy presents: 2 pioneers of percussive and bass-heavy club music. TSVI is a London-based Italian producer and label head of Nervous Horizon. NH’s most recent release is TSVI’s own Sogno EP. It is a collection of club-ready tracks that strip down his music to its core elements. With hard hitting percussion and rhythms inspired by various regional genres it manages to honor its influences while still being inventive and unique. TSVI has also been making waves under his other alias Anunaku for which he reserves his lighter more melodic productions but never strays too far from the complex drum patterns he’s known for. Ploy, another London-based producer, boasts an impressive roster of releases on several of the world’s most forward thinking electronic labels. This includes labels such as Hessle Audio, Timedance, Hemlock Recordings, and L.I.E.S, which released his debut LP in November of last year. The LP, Unlit Signals, bears some similarities to TSVI’s Sogno EP utilizing sparse production with extremely hard hitting percussion. Where they differ is that Unlit Signals takes its rhythmic cues from historical rave musics utilizing reverb and effects processing to create an impressive amount of space in the compositions giving them a grand and overwhelming feeling. This feeling conjures up the expansive industrial spaces that have housed rave music since its inception.
