Carmo 1 Year w/ Melchior Productions Ltd (live)

Located behind the Carmo Convent in the heart of Lisbon, Carmo Rooftop is the best spot in the city for fun vibes with an amazing view. In Carmo besides enjoying the wide range of our restaurant and bar menu, we dance to the music of talented DJs at our Electronic Sunset parties, watch a movie on the outdoor cinema screen, or just take delight in the sunset over Lisbon. This next event will be special, as we are celebrating our first anniversary. In recent events we united people with the power of electronic music with our unique parties, and this will be continuing in the following times. So, for this date we’ve managed to have with us one of the most unique artists on the international electronic music scene - Thomas Melchior aka Melchior Productions Ltd. Melchior first made a name for himself in the beginning of the 90’s releasing on Aphex Twins’ Rephlex label as part of electronica duo Vulva, and later as Yoni on Move D’s Source Records. Protégée of techno legend Baby Ford; Melchior and Ford release as Sunpeople, Soul Capsule, and part of the Ifach Collective and M-Core initially only on Trelik and Ifach but later on his own label Aspect Music. As Melchior Productions, Thomas became one of the pillars of the minimal house movement on Perlon, Playhouse, a:rpia:r, Smallville, Cadenza and LoMidHigh Organic. An ex resident DJ at Ibiza’s Circoloco at DC 10 and member of Villalobos’ Narod Niki , Melchior ‘s work also includes collaborations with Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Bruno Pronsato, Zip, Fumiya Tanaka. He remains one of the underground's true visionaries. On the national side, we couldn’t be more happy than hosting three of the most important players that keeps pushing our scene forward and forward: João Maria, aka Solid Funk (Assemble Music), John-E (Harbour) and Jorge Caiado (Carpet & Snares Records). To round things up, our main force and face from our project over the last 12 months - Kee_ko - will also be delivering the true Carmo vibes for the early hours. We would like to take the opportunity to thank the organizers and all the participants who have been with us in the past, and we hope to see many familiar and new faces at the next party. The admission for this event is free. Although 15€ will be charged as a minimum consumption upon your entrance. Which means, by booking your entrance here you are guaranteeing your place at the party (limited capacity) and a 15€ credit to explore our diverse bar and food menu.
