Demuja, the Austrian powerhouse DJ and producer, has carved a unique path in the electronic music scene, leaving a significant mark on contemporary sounds. His versatile journey began not with turntables, but with a decade of honing his rhythmic skills on the drums. Growing up in Salzburg, Mozart's hometown, this early exposure to rhythm heavily influenced his style, which seamlessly blends raw energy with soulful melodies. Demuja's relentless hustle kicked off in 2007. He honed his DJ skills in European clubs, eventually securing a surprise gig at the prestigious "Talk is Cheap" Jam afterparty in Oslo. This fortuitous event opened doors across Europe, leading him to renowned cities like Paris and Berlin. With his confidence soaring, Demuja transitioned into production in 2009,drawing inspiration from the likes of Kerry Chandler, Motor City Drum Ensemble, and Bicep. His productions quickly found homes on respected labels like Nervous Records, Shall Not Fade, and Freerange. A defining moment arrived in 2016 with the launch of his own imprint, MUJA. This platform became a breeding ground for his signature sound–a captivating fusion of disco, house, and techno, brimming with raw emotion and soul. Demuja's dedication translates into impressive figures. His music boasts over 40 million streams across platforms, and his relentless touring schedule has seen him captivating audiences in 38 countries. The past few years have been particularly fruitful. In 2020, his critically acclaimed LP "Atlantic Avenue" garnered widespread praise, with The Black Madonna offering her support. Notably, the album showcased Demuja's ability to push boundaries while staying true to his roots. Steve Huerta is at the vanguard of the house music underground. Ever since relocating from L.A. to Berlin a decade ago, Huerta's been refining a deep, groove-based sound, equal parts nostalgic and futuristic. His productions wiggle with old school tech house funkiness, but are polished with lush technicolor sound design. Landing on some of the underground's most esteemed labels, like Slow Life, SlapFunk, and Small Hours, his records have become buy-on-site necessities for DJs and listeners who like their house sunkissed and swung. Recently he’s released many of his biggest tracks to date on his own label, Leizure, where he's knocked out a series of all killer, no filler 12-inches since launching in 2020. Alongside this steady diet of club gems, he also isn't afraid to venture into the chill out room. Across two LPs, 2020's Junipero and 2023's TV Slang, he's experimented with dubby, breakbeat, downtempo, and ambient textures, showcasing a more introspective, but no less accomplished set of production skills. Regardless of whether he's turning out a slinky tech house groover or a moody dub burner, his records sound just as good in the big room as the living room. As well as his impressive and prolific production credits, Huerta continues to rack up gigs at some of the world's finest clubs and festivals. With his bag of dusty, under-the-radar digs, custom tailored edits, and ever present new original productions, Huerta has carved out signature DJ experience. In a clubland landscape saturated with sameness, Huerta remains a singular figure. Both in the booth and studio, he displays an intimate and deep knowledge of house music past, present, and future. // Club Level // Demuja (MUJA, Toy Tonics | Austria) soundcloud.com/demuja demuja.com/ Huerta (Leizure | Berlin) soundcloud.com/stevehuerta _________________________________ ⠶⠶⠶⠶⠶ Flash Safe Space Policy ⠶⠶⠶⠶⠶ Flash stands firmly against non-consensual behavior, discrimination, harassment or harm of any kind.
