Broad St. Richmond, VA 23220 FUNKFREAKS is a congregation of disc jockeys established in 2010, comprising a vinyl store located in Santa Ana that specializes in the genre of Street Funk. Funk, a quintessential feature of Southern California's lifestyle traditions in Orange County, was brought into prominence by the founding member Ivan “Dj Debo” Marquez, Robert “Luer” Marquez, Edgar "UNEEK" Diaz, and David "Loser" Diaz. FUNKFREAKS, has gained recognition globally, spanning even across Asia and European countries. Meanwhile at home, FUNKFREAKS still continues to host many Funk concerts and showcases to lowrider events, online radio, and weekly Funk parties with strictly vinyl record dj’s. Our goal here at FUNKFREAKS is to preserve the music and culture that associates with this lifestyle, uplifting our communities, and giving the recognition as needed for this lifestyle.
