From his humble beginnings as an aspiring open-format DJ from Newport News, VA to his current status manning the decks at some of the countries most popular venues, DJ Nobe has consistently taken multi-ethnic crowds on a sonic journey through unearthing one musical gem after another for almost 20 years. Nobe began to cement his name in the DJ world, first internationally, as one of the founders and performers of the Accra Dot Alt Festival in Accra, Ghana in 2010. This festival (now known as Chale Wote) has grown to be the biggest festival in West Africa attracting over 50,000 guests each year. In 2015, his infamous Tastemakers Revenge party with DJ Prolific at Balliceaux in Richmond, VA was part of turning the venue into a new hot spot for nightlife and was widely considered one of the best parties in the city. As a member of the Wax Buildup with DJ Billy Crystalfingers, DJ Mentos, and Hip Hop Henry, he helped introduce a new generation of people to vinyl records as well as multitude of music genres through their monthly dance parties. In addition to his own events, Nobe has performed in front of crowds of thousands, DJ opening sets for artists like Brandy, Ne-Yo, & R3hab.
