Sunday Service is a new series built on trust, curation, and culture. Four London based artists, each carving their own path through the musicwe love, join forces with carefully chosen, truly special unannounced guests. After last-minute licensing issues resulting in a date change to Sunday 20th, we’ve transformed our first edition of the series into something even more exciting. – Now Joining Kyle Toole this Sunday will be two of our London based Sunday Service artists, Dan Andrei & Junki Inoue too create one massive bank holiday All-Dayer. Kyle Toole: Kyle’s the kind of artist who doesn’t just play records — he tells stories. A trusted hand in the booth with years commanding crowds in the deepest corders of the underground to some of the most revered institutions internationally. Kyle has earned his stripes as a DJ's DJ — trusted by those in the know, and loved for his subtle command of the room; a delicate push and pull between dubbed-out, hypnotic rhythms & playful crescendos, releasing the tension. Whether its closing sunrise sets in Romania or peaktime energy in intimate South London basements. There’s a reason people show up for him time after time. Junki Inoue: He is one of the freshest digger DJs out there, known for his deep, groovy sets that mix Japanese and European vibes. Whether it's a warm-up, peak time, or a closing set, he always brings the right energy. After starting out in Tokyo’s underground scene and making waves in London with Toi.Toi.musik as well as later also becoming a Cartulis resident, he’s been popping up at some of the best clubs around the world. Dan Andrei: Circumstances dictate that this will be a short introduction. Hailing from Romania he has recently moved to London so we present him as one of the “London hosts” as part of this series. Hardly a talker this media-shy stance is anything but uncommon among his peers, but he is one who positions himself in the shadows more than most, he avoids attention, establishing himself as a much-respected and well-known artist, appreciated by those who’ve grown to enjoy the minimal-centric bubble whence he came and beyond that within other musical circles. He has recently launched his own imprint which is evident to that. He explains that his influences come from rock, hip-hop, soul, funk, and trip-hop. He’s part of the second generation of artists in the much-discussed Romanian movement, following in the path of Rhadoo, and has become an integral figure and connected to this movement but not only. He is one that dares to step outside of that box and boy can he do it brilliantly, so elegantly.
