Groove to The People 3rd edition is an event to support black artists. Providing awareness about how the music industry denigrates and rip off black music and black artist without giving any credit, But there's an opportunity for resilience and need of empathy, to let us keep doing what we love most: Danae Estrela: musician/composer from Cape Verde Islands (Africa). Danae belongs to a new generation of crioulos - genuine and vibrant African voices. Contemporary yet Avantgarde -her expression reflects her roots, journey and multidisciplinary creative processes. In her music, you can hear traces of her Creolity, born of the encounters between diverse cultures—African European and Latin. Sounds can transport us anywhere: to dance in trance, or contemplation beyond the surface. In Berlin Danae presents a new production with Raimund Engelhardt (DE) on tablas/percussion and Hans Bilger(US) on double bass. Babiche Papaya - The Berlin based rapper, actress and artist Babiche Papaya navigates through Germany's past, present and future. Her work deals with a wide range of topics, from her experiences, growing up african in the german suburbs, to Berlin night life, to calls for revolution. Dj Shiru - was Raised across continents, bred in London, based in Berlin- Shiru’s selections form a diasporic convergence of sounds, rhythms and stories. Naiche Designer Born and raised in São Marcos, the north side of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais - Brazil, I started my career with a deep music/art research in the 90's. Skateboard, RAP, my punk/hardcorebands and all the events productions in the ''underground''formed what is my art nowadays. For 15 years working as a designer and art director I have been developing videos and graphic pieces for the most varied segments around the world.
