Laroz & Ramy Mishriky Thursday February 23rd 7pm - 2am In an age where musical boundaries are being redefined each day and most artists find themselves pigeon-holed into a specific genre or style, one man has made his mark for traversing these boundaries and providing the global music market with supreme quality via a vast range of musical tastes and flavours – this man is LAROZ, and he is arguably one of the world’s leading producers, remixers and live acts. Laroz grew up in Israel, in an environment clouded with politics and regional animosity. He was raised in a period where Israel was fast becoming mapped as the home of trance, a new breed of hypnotic electronic music that was captivating his nation and others. Trance, however, was not Israel’s sole musical focus; this was also a time when Israeli pop and commercial music was being nurtured. Laroz focussed his attention less on trance, and more on ethnic styles of music – reggae, dancehall, ragamuffin, break-beat, ambient, dub, and others. Working his way through the ranks, Laroz secured himself a position as the producer of one of Israel’s top pop acts – Berry Sacharov. His works with Berry placed him among the upper echelons of Israeli producers, allowing Laroz to become quickly renowned and acclaimed worldwide, in turn leading to prompt recognition by international record labels. Demand by overseas artists followed rapidly, and culminated in Laroz remixing the legendary Pet Shop Boys, contributing to their success as No. 1 on the 2001 billboard charts with the album “Break 4 Love”. Laroz has worked on albums for Sony/NMC Israel, Planet Dog, , Avex (Japan), BNE ,Eros Greek, STAR69 N.Y., MWM Music Management ,LA4, Riddim Productions; he has produced soundtracks for the world-renowned “Bat Sheva” dance group, and was named best composer, best producer and best co-arranger at the Israeli Music Awards. His credentials are astounding, and utilising them to his full potential, Laroz launched his solo career several years ago. This career began with his chart topping ambient album – “Laroz is a Rose” Tables reservation & rsvp only +21 Dress well - Casual Upscale Admission not guarantee.
