Time for another edition of Let’s Doodle at Apollo Studio! This time celebrating the fourth release of Doodle, debuting Standing in the Water (Vinton Surf + Jorge). Party starts at 10pm and grooves through the night until the early morning hours. This event is a collaboration between Apollo Studio and Brooklyn based label, Doodle. As the founder and creator of Doodle, Jorge’s passion for music is palpable and he shares it with the community through the cultivation of parties and record releases. This event is not to be missed - dance amongst friends, spread the word and bring new faces, we can’t wait to see you there! Adam Collins - Born in New York, developed in Chicago, and released in London, meet the treasure trove of fascinating electronic sounds. He often records hardware-based live jams and his sound is deep and absorbing. Now, a minimal and tech house cult favorite, Adam got his start in Chicago where he co-founded the band Omni A.M. and Euphoria Records. Both evolved into an essential part of the electronic music community - known for timeless sound and unique samples. His set is certain to inspire thought provoking, transport you to the ethereal, and keep you locked on the dance floor. Vinton Surf – Also born in New York, Vinton Surf brings hard contoured minimal and caustic techno out for a spin. As one half of duo Standing in the Water, EP forthcoming on Doodle, and one third of the team behind the party Morphism, Vinton Surf is a project focused on riding the tension between aesthetic boundaries toward a driving dancefloor treatment. Corrina – California native and recent NYC transplant, Corrina started collecting records just three years ago, the same time she moved to NYC. Once she got her hands on turntables, there was no turning back and she’s been hooked on playing vinyl ever since. Her selections reflect her versatility, musical evolution, and exploration of many genres... basically anything with a nice groove and an even nicer snare. Jorge - Creator of Doodle, and one half of Standing in the Water, takes over the decks with an eclectic and well curated selection of vinyl. His selections are sure to get you out of your mind and into your body. His love for groove laden basslines and spaced-out rhythms gives you a glimpse into the mind behind the music.
