Friday January 6th 2023 at TBA, Love Trunk NYC, on the first Friday of the New Year, presents a night filled with beautiful boogie, delicious disco and heavenly house music! PK.Kid starts off the evening with an all vinyl set weaving through the genres, followed by Dirtyfinger connecting the dots and Veeps closing the curtain. Analog and digital frequencies will collide in the air throughout the evening. Expect sweet and savory synths alongside mystifying melodies with pulsating powerful rhythms to keep your body bouncing. Originally being called on for warehouse, loft and block parties in Brooklyn, the often illegal anything goes energy of these nights has never left him. Obsessed with the odd sounds and songs that bridge the gaps between genres, Dirtyfinger’s sets intend to unify the diverse dance floors he faces weekly. This is one of the reasons he decided to move to Brooklyn from San Diego in the summer of 2010. He has been the DJ for multiple rappers/hip-hop groups and the drummer for various punk/indie bands on both coasts. He is now dedicating more time in the home studio focusing on recording and producing his own original music. Some of his many influences include modern funk, hip-hop, trip-hop, roots, dub, ambient/chill/synth, darkwave, boogie, disco, electro, italo, house and techno. In addition to his multiple DJ residencies in Manhattan and Brooklyn, he also currently curates Love Trunk NYC with DJ Hongo, a reoccurring event in New York City which highlights live modern funk acts, visual artists, creatives and vinyl DJs spinning funk, boogie, disco and house music from all across the globe!
