She blends underground dance-floor anthems with unique synth-house sounds, captivating audiences worldwide with her seamless DJ sets and productions. Her musical journey began in the early 2000s when she played drums in indie bands, fostering a deep appreciation for polyrhythmic patterns that continue to influence her work today. After relocating to Europe, Paula immersed herself in the industry, starting from underground parties and working her way up to major festivals. Her debut EP, "Agua Congas," helped establish her distinctive sound, and she has since released music on renowned labels like Rhythm Section and Permanent Vacation. In 2021, Paula Tape joined the Rhythm Section family and gained significant recognition with her track "Panamericana" and the "Astroturismo" EP. She became the first Chilean-born artist to be selected as a BBC Radio 1 resident in 2023, further solidifying her growing influence in the global music scene. That same year, she introduced the global party series Hola Mundo, which promotes inclusivity through music and dance, featuring diverse artists and fostering community experiences. Paula’s work is also influenced by her studies in fashion design, which inspires her creative direction and artistic vision. She founded Intacto in 2004, which evolved into a key platform for her distinctive sound, while also making waves through her performances at renowned venues like Berghain and festivals worldwide. Drawing inspiration from pioneers like Jeff Mills and Derrick May, her DJ sets blend Detroit, Chicago, and Amsterdam influences with a sensual, exploratory vibe. Her production career is marked by a series of iconic releases, starting with her 2004 debut "Dillema." Over the years, Shinedoe’s tracks have gained recognition from top DJs and ravers alike, and she’s delivered standout remixes for major artists. In 2018, she launched Music That Moves (MTM), focusing on her vision of precision techno with emotional depth. Under her leadership, Intacto flourished, releasing nearly 100 tracks and three critically acclaimed albums.
