Derrick Carter Moscoman Evan Baggs ISAbella Chris Korda (Live) Derrick Carter is one of the pinnacles of Chicago house music's '90s wave. His sets are rooted in house, but he freely travels outside club tastes, seamlessly incorporating old-school disco, soul, jazz and whatever catches his fancy. Carter says that due to his growing notoriety his production talents have been requested by pop-oriented acts. But he prefers to remain underground. Although enthused about his own Blue Cucaracha label and a new UK-based imprint he runs called Classic, he's reluctant to offer much explanation of either label's MO-other than each releases records when the mood strikes him: "I like to keep myself pretty invisible. You may think I'm somewhere, but I've already left." --- For nearly two decades, Evan Baggs has been breaking boundaries with an expansive sound on the outer edges of house and techno. The vibe is equal parts Berlin—his home since 2007—and his hometown of New York, where a diverse underground scene first inspired his unique approach to DJing and music making. Fueled by a deep passion for record digging and an ear for undiscovered gems, Evan’s sets hint toward breaks, broken beat, electro and acid — all effortlessly mixed together. Meanwhile, his own studio productions have been releases on the labels of like-minded global selectors Francesco Del Garda, Binh, and DJ Masda, among others. ISAbella is one of the leading figures of the Barcelona club scene, but her reach goes far beyond the DJ booth. A co-founder of celebrated LGBTQ+ party, platform and collective MARICAS, she’s become a veritable icon within the city’s queer community while carving out space for dancers of all stripes and backgrounds to find connection, both on and off the dancefloor. Chris Korda is an internationally renowned multimedia artist, whose work spans nearly thirty years and includes electronic music, digital and video art, performance and conceptual art, and culture jamming. Dubbed “The Bob Dylan of Climate Change” by Groove Magazine, Korda has released music on labels such as Perlon, Mental Groove, and International DJ Gigolo, in a wide range of styles including electro, house, techno, ambient, jazz, and neo-classical. :)
