With sonic guidance from Chicago's Hot Take and Brooklyn's own Shareen, Sizzle brings this full-body sensation to Earthly Delights on Wed. July 2 from 6-11pm. -- Hot Take is a Chicago-based deejay whose fondness of peculiar sounds burns as strong as his love for the electronic underground. Immersed in music from a young age, he was molded during his formative years by grunge and psychedelic/stoner rock before his preferred sound palette matured into the bassy dub and mesmerizing prog bits that you’ll now find scattered across a Hot Take set. -- Hot Take has performed alongside modern heavyweights like HAAi, Darwin, and Maara as well as living legends Carl Craig and Derrick Carter. He is the co-founder of Chicago party series Flow State, who aim to highlight artists and sounds across the underground dance music spectrum unified by an innate ability to hypnotize dancefloors. -- Shareen is a Brooklyn-based DJ curating deep, bass-heavy sounds and hypnotic grooves with a playful twist. With a love for stripped-back rhythms and resonant low-end, she crafts immersive sets that evolve gradually, guiding listeners through a steady, flowing momentum sparking movement and energy.
