Gia Fu, a DJ/selector and music producer from Hong Kong, specializes in Afro-Latin music, particularly Salsa and associated rhythms. Beyond extensive touring as an international DJ and music producer, her research work explores how cultures - including her own Chinese heritage and Latin American influences - enrich one another. Having grown up in a culturally vibrant environment, her upbringing fuels her passion for challenging stereotypes and promoting inclusion within the music industry. Leading the Canton Mambo 曼波 project (@cantonmambo), Gia Fu dedicates herself to bridging cultural divides, embracing diversity through research, cultural & dance events, and music. This initiative creates an all-inclusive space where diverse cultural elements harmonize, fostering unity through the arts. Her upcoming single, "Canton Mambo," blends her native musical instrument Guzheng with salsa rhythms, introducing an exciting fusion sound for the genre. Eli Fola is a Nigerian-American multidisciplinary sound artist, saxophonist, DJ, and producer known for his pioneering live-hybrid set, “Yoruba Tech Soul.” This fusion blends AfroHouse, techno, jazz, and classical music, reflecting his passion for merging traditional Nigerian sounds with contemporary electronic music. His work has been recognized by Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys, who have invited him to perform at their private events and the No Commission art fair in Miami. He has also shared stages with ASAP Rocky, Busta Rhymes, Black Coffee, Pablo Fierro, and Audiofly. Additionally, he has composed film scores for Vogue Italia and Free The Works, and collaborated with brands like Soho House, Bacardi, ArtNews, and Art Basel. In 2016, Eli founded Tech Afrique, an independent label and cultural platform dedicated to Afrofuturist ideas and supporting BIPOC artists. The platform has released groundbreaking music and curated events in New York City and Tulum, Mexico, highlighting Afrohouse’s multicultural artistry and spiritual elements.
