ABOUT THE ARTISTS:: Telesforo Virginia native residing in bushwick, Matt (aka Telesforo) holds down a weekly Tuesday happy hour spot at Bossa Nova, two sessions at Newtown radio and hosts Open Decks Brooklyn every Wednesday. He runs two labels called Telemetry and Take Time, showcasing sounds on the trippier side of techno and the broader styles of house, respectively. He's held his own events at H0L0, TBA, Jupiter Disco, Bossa, Silo and other favorite local spots. Lokono joins him for the night as they explore the chiller sounds of house, disco, ambient with some latin influences sprinkled in between. LOKONO (Brooklyn, NY) Two-Spirit and rhythm-driven, LOKONO is a self-taught DJ who’s spent countless hours shaping his own intuitive approach to sound—merging waveforms, energy, and feeling into a seamless, genre-blurring experience. His name, LOKONO, honors his Taino Arawakan roots and means “the people”—a reflection of the community he builds through every set. Fearless in form, he flips club conversations and crafts spontaneous ways to enjoy hypnotic body rock. He frequented at underground staples like Bossa Nova Civic Club, Jupiter Disco, and Rebecca’s. He’s played at some successful events like Bushwig and The Other Art Fair at Knockdown Center, The Carry Nation in the Bad Room, and Qaotiq at Underground SF.
