Yalla She Said presents: A Double Bill - Maury111 & Kechou

The character Maury111 revealed itself to the french musician Benjamin Ruby during a moment of epiphany. Former soloist in the children’s choir of the Opéra de Paris, Ruby played in different bands in the french capital city before moving to Berlin and to dig deeper in this new character. Defining Maury111’s music as “mysticosmic” pop, the sound is a mix of bionic sounds and introspective moods. After being awarded the Jury Prize by the Listen to Berlin : Awards in 2021, Maury111 released their debut album “Desert Temple” in 2022 on Terenor Records, followed by a game changing concert at the planetarium of Berlin and a tour in Colombia. -- -- -- Kerim Melik Becker aka Kechou is a live instrumentalist, producer and songwriter based in Berlin. He merges electronic soundscapes and beats with more traditionally infused North African sounds and instruments of which he has built a variety by himself.
